It's time to celebrate Wookiee Life Day! In honor of the holiday season, the Galactic Showcase on January 5th, 2010 will feature multiple entries that will make the season bright. Drag the Life Day tree out of the closet, dust off those ornaments, and spread some holiday cheer with your structure or storyteller event if you'd like to participate!

Please send your submission to galacticshowcase@soe.sony.com with the subject heading "Holiday Showcase" and include the following in the body of your email:

* Character name
* Profile of in-game location/structure or summary of event
* One or more screenshots in .jpg format and not exceeding 5MB or URLs to screenshots hosted online
* Exact location – Please include the coordinates and planet, if applicable
* Galaxy
* Admission fee (if applicable)
* Your forum handle

The most joyful holiday submissions will be shown as part of this special feature. If you are featured, you will receive the "Galactic Showcase" badge in game. You must email your submission by 12:00 PM PST on January 4th, 2010 if you wish to be considered.

Ganz kurz auf deutsch: Es gibt einen Life Day Showcase Wettbewerb, bei dem man sein Haus etc festlich dekoriert auf einem Screenshot festhalten kann. Die Gewinner werden in einem Special Feature vorgestellt und erhalten einen Badge.

Wookiee Life Day
* Life Day is back with new rewards and a new badge! The towns of Dearic, Wayfar, and Doaba Guerfel have been decorated for the celebration of Wookiee Life Day. Visit the Life Day NPCs to sign up for the festivities! Imperial organizers, called Trandoshan Traders, can be found near the shuttleports; Rebel organizers, Wookiee Freedom Fighters, are near cantinas. Stop by the Life Day tree for gifts, music, and a special quest from Saun Dann!


Misc
* /areaPickRandomPlayer command has been added that will randomly choose a non-cloaked player within 16m. To specify your own range (from 1m-256m), include it after the command (for example, /areaPickRandomPlayer 32). There is a cool down that takes 30 seconds.

* /cityPickRandomCitizen command has been added that will randomly choose a citizen. /cityPickRandomCitizen -online will only pick online citizens. There is a cool down that takes 30 seconds.

* /groupPickRandomGroupMember command has been added that will randomly choose a group member, not including NPC group member. There is a cool down that takes 30 seconds.

* /guildPickRandomGuildMember command has been added that will randomly choose a guild member. /guildPickRandomGuildMember -online will only pick online guild members. There is a cool down that takes 30 seconds.

* /roomPickRandomPlayer command has been added that will randomly choose a non-cloaked player in the room. There is a cool down that takes 30 seconds.

* The -point option is available for these commands (for example, /areaPickRandomPlayer 32 -point) that will do the /pointat emote at the chosen player if she is nearby.

* The -emote=xxxxx option is available for these commands (for example, /areaPickRandomPlayer 32 -emote=summon) that will perform the specified emote at the chosen player if she is nearby. If you are the chosen player, it will ignore the specified emote and just do the /pointat emote.

Was diese komischen Kommandos bedeuten, weiß noch keiner. Jedenfalls geht es heute mit dem Life Day los, der Ablauf ist wie in den letzten Jahren. Und Saun Dann hat wieder ein extra Quest für uns.
